Nii is a performance poet, writer and sociocultural commentator. Born in the UK, in 1974, and raised in Ghana, Nii has written poetry and fiction, and performed around the world as well as leading writing workshops and training. He is the youngest living poet to have his work used for Poems on the Underground. With a scientific background, Nii's masterful talk combines mathematics with language to reflect on the learning process. Not only did Nii deliver this thought-provoking talk but, because there were so many audience requests, Nii also recited one of his poems. About TEDx, x = independently organized event.
